Terms of service

MyPhotosAnywhere (MPA) is independent open-source photo-library software. It connects to storage you authorize and is not a Google product or an MPA-hosted storage service.

Software license and permitted use

The software is distributed under the license provided with the applicable release. The Android repository currently includes the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1. Third-party libraries and models retain their own included licenses. This website does not replace or restrict rights granted by those licenses.

Use MPA only with accounts, media and computers you are authorized to access. You remain responsible for the rights to your media and compliance with applicable laws and the terms of Google and other services you use.

Account access and file actions

Google access requires your authorization. Review the requested permissions, configured source folders, upload destinations and workspace sharing. You may revoke account access through Google Account controls. See the privacy policy for information use and retention.

Review explicit upload, edit, cleanup, Trash and restore actions before confirming them. Downloaded copies, device-only originals and Drive originals have different availability and deletion consequences. Keep independent backups of important files and unsynchronized work.

Personal-test releases and availability

Releases are identified by version and release notes. The 0.6 Processor architecture is under development and is not available merely because it is described on this site. Personal-test builds can contain defects, require a fresh installation, and lack trusted publisher signing or completed Google verification. Read the release's documented limitations before installation.

Google APIs, platform permissions and third-party components can change or become unavailable. Recognition results and imported metadata can be incomplete or incorrect and may need human review. MPA does not promise uninterrupted service or Google Photos feature or recognition parity.

Warranty and support

Warranty and liability terms are those of the applicable software licenses, including their provisions for software supplied without warranty where permitted. No paid support or service-level commitment is created by downloading a personal-test release.

Questions and bug reports can be submitted through the support tracker. For private account or privacy matters, use the developer contact on the Google consent screen. Updates to these pages will be published here with an updated effective date.
